The 2014 Sons of Norway District #1 Convention was held in Duluth, Minnesota. They wanted a design, to be used for promotional correspondence and convention materials and well as online advertising. Wanting to display both the roots of their immigration and the development of Duluth, I created a reflection of an ore boat under the Duluth lift bridge and an immigration ship drifting by the fjords of Norway. Keeping it abstract, simple and bright gives a modern twist to a historical group. The graphics were flattened and simplified even further for t-shirt and apron production.
